Lou wrote poetry throughout the show.. when the show was in it's first season, he wrote about 9/11. This just goes to show how he perfected his writing! He was my favorite character!

I never watched Rescue Me, but that was only out of my ignorance. My cousin, a Fireman/Paramedic, posted a small comment about this speech, and I came here to listen. For 128 seconds, especially this night, September 10, 2011, knowing what the tomorrow of 10 years ago brought, and will bring...my eyes have blurred with quiet tears. Perhaps, I will watch the re-showing of Rescue Me, if given the chance. But, if my only knowledge will be these words, that may be all I need to know........
