As a Biracial woman I found it very powerful in it's attempt to address the complexities of racial identity . Adapted from Fannie Hurst's novel it's 1959's Imitation of Life. Starring Lana Turner, Juanita Moore, John Gavin, Sandra Dee, Susan Kohner, Robert Alda, Dan O'Herlihy, and Gospel music star Mahalia Jackson.

this movie is aawsome nd clear its a tough movie nd they should make more movies like this these days instead of all these movies that have to do with sex nd killing people !!!!!! was steve crazy??? that woman had been working for that opportunity for a long time. how could he ask her to walk away from it. excuse me, not ask, tell her...lol! hadn't they just met?...surely, he didn't think he was putting it down like that??? i guess she was putting it down like that and steve's whipped behind got beside himself...lol
