@NovaBurst I've studied a bit of Kendo, and yes, it's part of the rule. You have to "call out" what part you are touching on the opponent (men for the head, do for the torso, kote for the hand... and what else ? don't remember uh). The way of "screaming'" is the same than in other asiatic sports, it's somewhat to "extract all of your power out of the body before hitting.". It's a pretty interesting concept, though it can sound really weird.

Am I the only one that thinks calling out where you're gong to hit rather takes the challenge out of Kendo? Maybe I just don't understand...
