Mr. Butler, can I borrow your spoons?

Benjamin Butler was a general on the Union's side in the American Civil War (1861-1865.) At one point, he and his forces captured the city of New Orleans, of which he became the commander. He earned the nickname "the Beast" for the strict control he kept the city under, and the nickname "Spoons" for his habit of stealing silverware from the homes at which he stayed.

Since he must have gathered quite a lot of spoons, we were wondering if perhaps he might let us borrow some! (Yes, we know that in some of the languages, like French, the person said "spoon" instead of "spoons.")
