Dilip Kumar is the greatest actor based on the fact that he did only 62 movies during his career of 54 years !! That's an incredible feat. I like other actors and would not like comparing them with Dilip Kumar (like many do) because each one has his own charisma, acting style and fan base. Dilip Kumar will always be fondly remembered as our acting icon. Only 62 movies in 54 years to achieve such cult iconic status is remarkable. I wish Dilip Saab lives over 100 years. Hats off Sir...hats off.

@TAKSVENKAT point noted my friend but it is obvious that every actor has his own style and method of dialogue delivery... The millions in India aren't crazy to consider Dilip kumar as our icon as far as acting ALONE is concerned. Sanjeev Kumarji was an extremely versatile AND gifted actor BUT on a scale of 1-10, I would personally rate him at 8/10 and Dilip sahab at 9/10. B'cuz the one who's mere screen presence can make u sit up and take notice is in MY opinion a 'True Actor.'

@TAKSVENKAT But sir, I never did say that SRK was a brilliant actor now did I? Naseer sahab is a fab actor who just gives what is meant to be given to a particular scene and nothing more BUT even he has said that Dilip sahab is as good as they come. It is no secret that Dilip Kumar was ONE of Hindi cinema's first method actors alongside greats such as Ashok Kumar and K.L. Saigal. Hollywood wise, the situation is pretty much the same. Only actors who are different in their approach are respected

If you talk about method acting my friend watch Morgan Freeman or Tom Hanks; Dilip kumar is not a method actor. A method actor gives just the required expressions like Naseerudin shah not like SRK (in most movies).

@TAKSVENKAT first of all my freind try to understand exactly what is meant by the terms 'acting' and 'actor'... once u do, I'm sure you will quietly remove such a heinous comment from this video. Being wooden is different from being in absolute control over one's emotions throughout the course of a particular scene. IF dilip sahab had used all of the emotions in his body and vocal tone, you would have easily claimed that the man was OVERacting! so please, learn what is 'Method acting' first...
