Future-Recreation

EXPLAINATION:
-The video is about this futuristic society where new technology has been invented to create a virtual world.
-The guy puts on the glasses (the virtual device) which allows him to see and do anything he imagines.
-In this case, the outside world is replicated and he is given the power to teleport.
-At the end of the video you see him take of the glasses, and the "virtual water bottle" goes away--signifying that he has returned to the real world.

This video was a project for an English presentation about a futuristic society. It was a response to Ray Bradbury's novel Fahrenheit 451. This video was made for educational purposes only.

VFX:
-rotoscope individual and use expansion tool on mask properties to diminish character into background template
-duplicate comp and use the ellipsis effect to create warp and use turbulent displacement to animate it
-add matte channel and fractal background to create a spotting effect so that the character teleports in a segmented fashion
-use another displacement map to distort the figure as he teleports
-add color correction and most importantly don't forget the cheesy dramatic music!
