  • if he could lived to 1949,i bet he would support chairman mao

  • dr. sun yat sen is the father of china. too bad he died so young :o( i remember seeing this picture hanged in the main wall of costa rica's chinese association. however, since the commies started diplomatic ties with costa rica, his picture was taken down.

  • but the most sad thing is, then China was took over by Communist part, the rest ideal of democracy of Sun's could only accomplish in Taiwan which is nowaday Republic of China at. Poor.

  • No revolution of 1911, no Communist party, no Communist party, no new China.

No Sun Yat Sen, no Mao Zedong, no Mao Zedong, no new China.

  • @Balencian don't worry. current chinese society is rather disappointing, but many others like sun, didn't lose hope. it's a mental breakdown to be reminded of what's happening right now, but in the near future, you will be convinced your hopes can be invested again=)

  • @Balencian and because no capitalist system is ever meant to be fair, this division showed that neither are willing to cede power. not only so, chinese culture demonstrated that multiparty doesn't work in its history of politics, which is why we see what we see today. of course what tomorrow brings is another question, but it definitely will be far.

I give up already, I will be happy if i see a democratic Hong Kong. Forget the shell, save the spirit.

  • @ComradeMing

Sun actually want one thing when asking communists to help, he want China to have multiple party so democracy can take place. CCP on the left and KMT on the right, one stand for workers and other stand for businesses. The problem is other leaders like Chiang and Mao never want to share or save their nation but rather simply want to create a paradise just for themselves.

  • @168chanism

I disagreed, he might not done anything directly, but his ideals inspired the people of the city. When I was small, I heard a lot of stories about Sun Yat Sen and his ideals that is very inspirational. Same stories was told to my father and grandfather's generation and they are the one that built HK.

You do not need to make a direct impact but your actions can inspire. Look at people like Sakamoto Ryoma, Benjamin Franklin, Aristotle...etc

  • @noformstyle you serious? Asians were treated like shit back then. There were no equal rights and if Sun stayed there he will be far worse
