@evfedu Cerebro is a similar sounding song, but the song in this clip is Clint Mansell's 'Ghosts of Things to Come' from Requiem for a Dream.

Beautiful tribute to a fantastic programme maker.

They truly don't make the kid's shows like they used to...
Rest well Mr. Postgate!

Postgate's stuff is so much better than the American bollocks that seemed to dominate my childhood. I'd much prefer Bagpuss's yawn or the whistling voices of the Clangers to the all the crash, bangs, and wallops that were fired into my auditory canal on a weekly basis.

well done charlie, quality tribute to Oliver Postgate

What a beautiful tribute.

I think people who don't like Charlie Brooker's stuff, who think he just endlessly slags things off and swears a lot, should sit down and watch this.
A more heartfelt and poignant tribute to a great man I've yet to see. Well done Charlie and well done Oliver Postgate and Peter Firmin.

The music (believe it or not) is from the Score of X-men 2. The piece is called Cerebro, and it was composed by John Ottman.
And yeah, fantastic tribute.
