Syed Razi Tirmizi , a renowned Pakistani poet is former Head of Central Production Unit, Radio Pakistan, Lahore.I composed ,rendered and produced this fine piece of poetry in 1986 while I was working as Producer at the Unit .The poetry was selected from "YADON KA MAUSAM " poetry book of Razi Sahib published in 1986.This is one of my favourite songs as it has a lot of depth in its text .

Rizi Tirmizi is a very good and senior poet. Aei Dil Aei Merey Pagal Dil is a very inviting Nazm full of pathos. Khalid Asghar has fully put the mood of the poem in his musical composition. I remember the days when it was composed at the Central Production Unit, Radio Pakistan Lahore. Such melodies are made to live very long. It is nice to see Rizi Tirmizi rendering it LIVE in this video. May you both live long and continue composing such memorable songs. Khalid's variations on Bhool is amazing.

The Station Directors like, Razi Sahib, Ch.Bashir Ahmad, Syed Saleem Gillani, who in fact understood my hidden abilities. I planned an evening with Razi Sahib at his home ad recorded his exceptional and certified poetry in his voice. His poetry is a CERTIFICATE for reference. Am grateful to Razi Sahib. K.Asghar

جناب رضی ترمذی صاحب بنیادی طور پر نظم کے شاعر ہئں۔خوبصورت الفاظ چن کر لکھتے ہئں جن میں موسیقیت ہوتی ہے۔الفاظ کق اسطرح استعمال کرتے ہیں کہ پڑھنے کا لطف دوبالا ہو جاتا ہے۔ان کی نظموں میں گہرا سوز اور گداز موجود ہے ۔

Beautiful piece of poetry and music. It will take some one as talented as you to create such memorable songs. Seems to be based on Bageshwri. Am I right? Arrangement is also very nice. I believe you always arranged your own compositions, right? Also, must commend the nice video work.

It is a memorable clip. All the pictures/stills are high class, carefully selected and sensibly arranged in an appropriate sequence to highlight the event of meeting between two tall personalities, Razi Sahab and Khalid Asghar Sahab. This NAZM has marvellous thought content and to me; the text has its specific literary and eventual bach ground, that cannot be mentioned in words. But here in this poem, Syed Razi Tirmizi the words have another meanings, each cannot be described in simple words.Believe me after listening to this poem once my heart always wanted to listen to it again and again.

The dedication of the personalities you have mentioned seems to be lacking. The only hope I see is left in Raza Kazmi and Shehwar haider but their hands are also tied because of lack of funds. CPU where I used to record a couple of music items a couple of times a month for the past three decades is no more a vibrant place. I am happy that you planned an evening with Syed Rizi Tirmizi, a great person and a great poet. Congratulations!
