This video was created just after Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans in the USA. At least 1,836 people died in the actual hurricane and in the subsequent floods. The (then) President Bush denied that Hurricane Katrina was caused as a result of global warming and refused to sign the KYOTO Protocol which aims to reduce its effects. The US did eventually sign the Protocol on 12 November 1998, but to date they have no intentions of ratifying it. The video was produced by Anthony Armstrong in 2005 for the BA (Hons) Digital Media degree course at the University of Brighton. The animation was put together using Adobe After Affects (a motion graphics program) and Adobe Photoshop The background song is called Hayling by FC Kahuna.
