@Spunjo1221 and fact that members of pearl jam were in Green River doesn´t make them grunge..and also, it´s funny that Eddie Vedder(i like him but i think this is really funny) from hot california started to wear flannel shirts after breaking grunge into mainstream, i think that pearl jam just were just riding on the wave of grunge because they were from seattle..and because they were grunge by music...and sorry for my english ;)

@Spunjo1221 you cannot call this song grunge.grunge is derivated from hardcore and heavy metal, guitar are very overdriven in this genre, vocals are agressive...this song is like REM+GnR.grunge should be like Black Sabbath+Black Flag.in opinion, grunge bands are Tad, Mudhoney, Nirvana.it derivated mainly from punk rock, bands like soundgarden and alice in chains were more metal heads, but the music was like grunge, but not pearl jam, media did pearl jam grunge just because they were from seattle
