LOL it seems lame because the SE model is made for less power/high miles per gallon. If you wanna see this car with a V8 engine twice the size of the SE and which sounds much better, check out the Challenger SRT8.
I had to sacrifise my 2010 Dodge Challenger SE for an 2010 Dodge Charger R/T mainly because i'm getting married and palnning to have kids one day. Even though The Cahregr R/T is a perfect family vehicle for its roomy interior and the 5.7 HEMI V8 packs alot of punch, sometimes i wish i still had my V6 Challenger ):. Maybe in a couple of years i can buy another V6 Challenger. The Charger can be the Family Car and the Challenger can be the car i can drive to work and go out to dinner with my wife
@admiraljimmy That's slightly incorrect. The R/T will continue to have the 5.7L, although with a slight boost in power. The SRT8, now in the 2011 model-year, comes with the 6.4L Hemi, no need to wait until 2012. Additionally, I see below you said the 2012 Challenger will get a new 305hp V6, that is also incorrect - that V6 is also available in 2011 Challengers. Both the 6.4L Hemi and 3.6L V6 should be in dealerships before Christmas, if not already.
@ReGGaEToNFLoW88 yeah that's what i was guessing but 7 seconds is still better than 8 lol. the 2010 SRT8 would smoke a 2010 stang, not a 2011, but even then you have to compare the prices. 41K base for SRT8 and 27K base for the GT, and even then the mustang would eat it alive in corners lol. But supposedly for 2012 they're giving the R/T the 6.1L Hemi and the SRT will be getting a 475HP Hemi. That might at least make it even with the Stang and Camaro, but there's still that price..
@vinylcollector08 Or just buy a challenger R/T?
