The #1 cause for Atheism is having an open mind and reading the bible.

yes, it is ok. if you were to follow all the rules in the bible, you would be a murderer (read leviticus) and if thats just because leviticus is in the old testiment then why is the old testiment in your perfect and holy book. the bible doesn't work. it conflicts with itself. a perfect god wouldn't write a book like that. you can rationallize it all you want, but reality is right in front of you. i came to that conclusion on my own as a 6 year old. i don't understand how grown people dont get it

Who said Atheists believe in nothing? There is plenty of other things to believe in, like my peers and teachers. The brave researchers studying hard to understand and improve our state of the world. I believe in the world getting smaller, and information breaking boundaries. I believe in space-ship earth, and one day, a single people focused on helping all instead of fighting only for their tribe.

None of this is possible under the doctrine of religion.

Jesus is myth. Love the myth and eventually it will become real to you. Mythology is better than reality because what is real will dissapoint you. Feeling good is better than anything. Believing in nothing will make you sad.

Singing in church is akin to luring a girl? You need help man! Your religion, as religion is known to be, is shame based. All this was is YOU judging your fellow Christians as if your better than them or you've seen the light and can see how fake u all are. @djc1301 in the same sense that all actions are never morally malevolent, they are also never objectively benevolent. So I have no need to describe how raping someone is morally virtuous. If it were my daughter, my emotions would get in the way of rational thinking. I would be angry, yes. Though, I wouldn't be angry at his morality, I would be angry at the man himself. the state of being angry does not change morality to being objective. It only feels like it.

The reason your quit believing is that you chose to quite believing - Faith defined:

(1) : firm belief in something for which there is no proof

(2) : complete trust

You quit believing because you saw "no proof". Believe my friend, if you rely on man alone, you will be disappointed. All good things come from God.
