@AdmiralAwsomeful Whether they were "crazy" or not is debatable. B. Russell, the renowned atheist, praised Lenin for imposing atheism, ""Bolshevism deserves the gratitude and admiration of all the progressive part of mankind." @AdmiralAwsomeful And YOU are not getting the point. The historical fact is that it WAS done in the name of ATHEISM. Millions were sent to the gulags or summarily executed because they refused to accept the imposition of SCIENTIFIC ATHEISM. Scientific Atheism was inculcated in schools, workplaces, factories, public squares, and in private homes. There were 5 year plans for the imposition of state atheism. Yes, it was done in that name!

@bantumwt You are not getting the point. They aren't doing it in the NAME of science, logic, and wisdom. They're doing it because they're crazy. The Crusaders killed in the name of God, and the same of Jihadists, etc

@ShellTM1 The largest mass murder in the history of humanity happened in the 20th century. It is estimated at 130 million + in the Soviet Union, China, South Asia, Eastern Europe, etc. and was not carried out in the name of religion. Totally atheistic governments and by atheists.

@bantumwt The S.o.G. destroyed around 6000 churches in the USSR. As to the actual body count, the numbers have not been totally compounded. How can you say that this (as one example) shows that more have been murdered in the name of atheism as compared to the reign of the National Socialists under Adolf Hitler (a self-proclaimed Roman Catholic doing God's work, as stated in Mein Kampf), current radical jihadists, the Muslims and Christians in the Crusades, numerous sects in Africa including the

@AdmiralAwsomeful They can discuss it till hell freezes over, but that doesn't change historical fact. Much of what was done was done in the name of Atheism and in the name of Scientific Atheism. There was that little group called the League of Militant Atheists of which there were 96000 local chapters. And they were just part of it.
