Here is a great example of a nano-reef aquarium (Oceanic Biocube 14) illuminated strictly with LED lighting. The stock compact fluorescent lighting (48 watts total) has been completely removed from the hood and replaced with a single 12 watt White & Blue Panorama Module along with two 6 watt 453nm Blue Stunner LED strips.

Upgrading your nano-aquarium lighting with Panorama Modules and Stunner LED strips offers some great advantages:
- Considerable electrical cost savings (in this aquarium, the electrical savings are over 50%)
- No lamp replacement, no mercury, the LED's last up to 50,000hrs.
- No loud cooling fan (the fans can usually be removed or simply turned off)
- No heat transfer, no chiller needed to keep your tank cool
- Brilliant color rendition & shimmer effects

The aquarium in this video has been running now for 8 months, and you can see the stunning colors and growth exhibited by the corals and other invertebrates. A special thanks to Neptune Aquatics in Milpitas, CA where you can see this aquarium and find all of our products.

  • Would 1 12k white/445nm blue and 1 445nm blue strips be enough for an anemone in a biocube 14?

  • @PlayerXevic Yes, using one of each strip will work great and provide plenty of light for all types of coral in a Biocube 14.

  • How much is that lighting system exactly how it's on the biocube at neptunes?

  • @latinpapie The Panorama Pro Modules retail for $89 each.

  • Oaky I have a biocube 14g and want to upgrade to your less. I see from the display you use 1 pro and 2 stunners. If i want to have a lot of different types of corals. Can i use that set up?? Also what did you use for moonlights???

  • @1012young Hi, sure - using a panorama pro module and two stunner LED strips will work great. The stunner LED strip in blue is very popular as a moonlight.

  • @ecoxotic1 Would using a 445nm blue panorama create more blue than the stunner strips you have in this video?

  • @ecoxotic1 Thanks!

  • To verify: The Lights on this tank are the Panorama Module Freshwater LED kit and (2) 12.5" 6watt stunner LED 453nm Blue
