amazing presentation!

@astielow drawings are good. next time, at the end of the presentation, show the car. judges like to see the car. :)

We will post ours soon. Stay tuned!

Good job! Unique presentation. This is a lot different than what we saw in FSAE Michigan 2011 Top 3 Presenters. So It threw some of the teams off. Presentation is all individual based. You might have placed somewhere around 20th if you were in a different room. I think that Presentation in FSAE is just bs and they need a better way of judging.

great job! I'm guessing you showed car pics in your handout? this is one of the best presentations I've seen. no wonder y'all won. congrats!
Pclub: judges go through training, but yes, judging is subjective, which is why we normalize (stated in the rules). so even though they all get the same training, judging will be different from competition to competition. but I doubt that U of A would've placed any lower than 2nd or 3rd in any of the competitions...

@tsweichen
The handouts contained no pictures of the car. We included overview drawings and a spec sheet, similar to what we submitted to the competition program. The bulk of the handout contained all of our numbers for the biz case. So we included the income statements, NPV calculations, Break even points and a variety of other numbers that an "executive" would be interested in. The main purpose of the handouts was to compare our outsourcing strategy to the traditional in-house manufacturing

Hopefully the other top teams this year in Cali will post their videos from the presentation highlights. They were very much the same as we saw from the top teams in Michigan. My advice (for what it is worth) take a few hours to learn what the professional presenters do (watch Al Gore's "An inconvenient truth") before following other students.
