Highlights of the new Carolina Panthers starting QB, Matt Moore. Time to see what the kid can do with a full season as the starter. If his success late last season was any indication this team could be looking at a surprisingly successful season. As always, let me know what you think. Comments are appreciated. GO PANTHERS!!!!!!

  • Clausen is goina to be soooooooo much better!

  • @DrPoon oh really... and what have you seen that makes you think he is going to be better? Maybe its his wobbly throw? Awkward throwing motion? The fact he makes himself shorter because of how low he throws the ball? Or because he has done so much more than Matt in his career? Please, do tell, what insight do you have into the future of football to make you think hes going to be "soooooooooo much better" than Moore?

  • @SteveSmithTD89

Because Moore isn't that good to begin with. Clausen is just a rookie, his stance and throwing motion are excellent not according to me, just watch espn any time he plays. In my own opinion Clausen DOES have a better throw, better motion in the pocket and a great field awarness that you dont see in rookies very often. I'll leave it at that, you can reply but don't expect one back.

    Go Panthers!

  • @DrPoon And why isn't Matt good to begin with? Because he wasnt drafted? I guess that you forget Matt went 4-1 in our toughest 5 games of the season with a passer rating second only to Philip Rivers during that span. I guess the 10 yards per completion (higher than brady and manning) and his 8-1 TD/interception ratio make him awful by default. ESPN is off clausen's jock. That you can't deny. He is a rook, and has a chance for improvement but right now its not even close, Moore is superior.

  • @DrPoon

In those 'tough games the teams we played had made the playoffs already. They weren't gonna play full strength and risk injury.

  • @DrPoon And wrong. The only team that packed it in was the saints, thats it. I could argue that we didnt have Smith, but that doesnt really matter. The Bucs are a hated division rival and were playing for respect. The Vikings, were playing on Sunday night football with a chance to tie for home field advantage after the Saints loss and the Giants, well, we ended their playoff dreams. It was a win and you're in scenario for them in the final game at the meadowland. Yep, they packed it in.

  • Then of course I could add in the fact that during that stretch, Moore was missing his two pro bowl tackles, one of our star running backs and yet it still made ZERO difference. I understand the hesitation, I do. But to deny Matt his chance is asinine. Now, don't take this comparison out of the vague concept I'm trying to use it with but people in New England had a similar feeling when their star QB Bledsoe went down opening the door for a young, late round draft pick named Tom Brady...

  • @DrPoon Feel good now.

  • matt is a very talented qb, i don't feel like he ever got a fair shot at being a starter, and with a torn labrum, he'll be lucky to find a qb job anywhere in the nfl. i really wish he had worked out instead of the mess we're in right now. oh well.

  • Hear it from me firs with our season, BRING BACK VINNY T!!!
