The New Hope Baptist Church Praise Team playing Victory in Jesus.

From a drumming standpoint, I had a chance to really have some fun on this one. I probably took more risks on this song than I have on any other song we've played before, especially on that triplet fill toward the end. But yeah, everyone was really into this one, so I definitely recommend it.

Comments would be awesome. Thanks for watching.

  • I'm writing from my wife's account, hence "thehappympmmyof4". Anyway, I am planning this for our worship service on Sunday and wanted to find a "new" version of the song. I really like how your team has made it new again, without rewriting or adding any lyrics (not that there is anything wrong with that!). Our worship style is contemporary, but we still like to include the classic Hymns. It's always nice to hear them with a modern beat....Especially with that driving "Four on the floor" kick!!

  • @ahappymommyof4 Thanks! It's the Travis Cottrell version. He did a great job on arranging it. It's so fun to play... at least from a drummer's standpoint :)

  • @altair2012 Ok. I hadn't heard of Travis Cottrell before, so I thought that it was an arrangement by your team. LOL! Thanks for being humble enough to give credit, where the credit is due! I'm really looking forward to playing for our worship service. I play acoustic and lead, but I know my drummer is going to love it.....He likes these types of beats!

  • This was a ton of fun. Best arrangement ever of this great hymn. Way to go New Hope Band! Great drumming Cole!
