Hey all you Redwall Fans! If you've never gotten to see/hear Brian Jacques in person, then you're in for a real treat! He is soooooooo FUNNY! He visited Austin, TX on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, on his "DOOMWYTE" Book Tour at BookPeople. The Audience laughed almost Non-stop!
I'll be uploading the whole talk in 5 parts, so keep checking back. Hope you enjoy this as much as I did. ;)
(Please excuse the loud laughing & occasional talking - sorry)

  • "Who says that I am dead knows naught at all."

  • i read Lord Brocktree when i was in grade three. before that, reading was hell to me. now i've got my nose in a book until two in the morning. i cried when i found out he died. RIP.

  • I love this man. It's been awhile since I've read the books, but when I was younger there were practically all I read. When I heard he had died I broke down crying.

I love how he creates characters right on the spot in front of all the people. He still makes me laugh after all these years.

Brian Jacques inspired me to write and now I'm in college majoring in it.

RIP Mr. Jacques. You will most certainly be missed.

  • RIP brian we love your books.

  • This is the only person in the entire host of UNIVERSES who can make me laugh no matter what. I know I am not the only one who misses him.

  • RIP :/

  • R.I.P Mister Jacques luckily I still have 4 more Redwall's left to read

and then I can just start them all over again

  • Great author, great man. I grew up with Redwall; Rest In Peace.

  • even after he's dead, Jacques is still giving us joy. (sigh)

  • One of the most imaginative authors from my childhood, certainly the one who sparked my interest in books fo the most part.

He had an exciting life, and he will be missed for the happiness he brought to so many.

    RIP
