And I Am Not Lying - Live is a variety show based on a blog that honestly is not updated all that frequently. It brings together New York City's best comics, storytellers, burlesque and sideshow performers in a show that's meant to feel like a rock concert except without all the music and instruments. A bunch of us have appeared on NPR and the Moth's podcast, but I'm kind of trying to leave the whole sweater-vesty aesthetic behind.
Suffice it to say that we're cockrocking the NPR crowd.
Jeff Simmermon, Brad Lawrence and Cyndi Freeman appear monthly along with apeloads of Very Special Guests like: Fem Appeal, Runaround Sue, Michael Che, Ophira Eisenberg, Jeffrey Joseph, Mat Fraser & Julie Atlas Muz, Adam the First Real Man, and more.
You can check out the show on the first Tuesday of each month at Union Hall - 702 Union Street in Park Slope, Brooklyn, NYC.
