Was it just the vibration, or was that cable on the left moving due to the current?

sorry to piss on your fire, i would love to see an engineer actually perform work in the field of an industrial electrician, maybe they would learn a thing or two. We install multi-million dollar machinery by the way that could easily be defunct by ill regarded practice. Engineers would cringe if they had to go through some of scenarios we perform. Thanks for the disrespect.

FYI, six years ago we contradicted the engineer for the plans he drew up on a new building. He came and discussed the plans with us, noting he was correct and forcing the plan, halfway through the job we called his boss. His superior then confirmed what we had determined, only now we had to start over with cutting up half the floor of this new building. Thanks Mr. 23 YEAR OLD COLLEGE ENGINEER.

Thats not the fault of Mr 23 year old college engineer. That is the fault of the engineer (his boss?) who approved his design. It takes years of experience and commissioning your own designs for an electrical engineer to understand how to design things properly (and especially to design things properly with tradespeople in mind). Only experience makes you a good engineer. You must have worked with a great engineer who takes no shit and makes things happen at some point in your career.

Ok, bit of a missunderstanding I think. In the UK: college means more "hands on" less acacemic courses, 16 year old age-ish. Here an electrician is someone who is associated with the building trade, and does more consumer electrical stuff. An electrical engineer is someone who *engineers* (the clue is in the name) a piece of machinery. Not research or design.
"Engineers would cringe if they had to go through some of scenarios we perform." You obviously haven't met many engineers...

Any engineer worth his weight will be doing his job because he enjoys it, therefore will be no stranger the wonderful fascination that is electricity. Would you chose a job involving something you wouldnt work with? And why would they cringe, working with electricity isn't dangerous if your sensible and know what your doing. do you have any idea of how long and complex the design process is for even semi-complex electrical is? Any educated person can follow plans, but it's not easy to make them.

lol boring? engineers are the boring ones. way to sit at your desk and design prints that never work because you've never touched a tool. if you think sitting in a office all day is exciting, and working with live power is boring... check yourself.

sorry to piss on your fire, but those guys will be electrical engineers! Electricians repair the lighting circuits in your home... To be a successful engineer you HAVE to have "touched a tool", and it depends on what your job is, as to whether you sit in an office. Personally, id agree with you, i much prefer to be in the field. Do you really think a 18 year old collage sparky would be trusted with a piece of kit that expensive/dangerous...
