Learn to knit lace with Kerin, designer for Knit Picks. In this lesson, Kerin talks about selecting the right fiber type and color for your project and winding lace yarn for your project.
Waaah! Thank you so much for all these lace lessons!!! I've only got this far so far, but I can't wait to watch the other videos soon. I find lace is quite expensive but I like to make accessories with bits of lace, so I've been trying to learn all I can about making my own. Previously the only way I knew of was traditional lace making with bobbins usually used to make doilies with. It looked really tricky, but for this at least I have a base to work with since I know some basic knitting.
I always wondered about joining and since I am now making a lace shaw this is brillant and so easy. Thank you!

Oh cool! The Spit Splice is the same way to join yarns while Nalbinding. Very cool. I never thought to use the same technique for knitting.
