How do you bunch your ribbon like they do at the start?

I watched this over and over and over. I love the moves and how eveything jus transitiions so beautifully. I hesitated to do a ribbon dance cuz you guys r so good i hope to awe my audience as well. How do I make those ribbons myslef? Is it chiffon silk?

Ribbons can usually be gotten from tailorshops or other special dance prop shops. My troupe gets them from Taiwan. They aren't usually that easy too find (easier to make them yourself)
