While fighting for the lead during the Vance & Hines XR1200 race at Barber Motorsports Park, J&P Cycles' Michael Beck went for a wild ride which ended with a spectacular highside. Fortunately for Beck, he was up and ok. Look for Beck on a Yamaha R6 in the 2012 AMA Pro Daytona SportBike class.

  • Michael Beck does not like this...

  • I test rode one of these back in the Spring. If it wasn't for the motor, clutch, transmission, suspension, steering, chassis, riding position, and price tag, I woulda liked this bike a lot

  • @freddiebigfoot I larfed

  • Looks to me like the rear stepped out, compensation bucked him, then slamming the seat added extra input to the bars... wow that sucks. glad he's okay

  • So what caused this? Dual rear shocks? I own one of these and I sure dont want to experience a ride like that. Are there more cases of sudden tankslapper syndrome with this bike?

  • I guess theres a very good reason that nobody puts dual rear shocks on a race bike... maybe tell Harley???
