run....into the arms...of America.

Yeah, the killing of innocents worldwide is terribly justified when you are spreading "democracy" (as long there's sworn allegiance to the USA interests). You have a great country, but your government & military are some of the biggest assholes to have ever existed.

Let them hate us so long as they fear us (props to Tiberius). And btw, all you lefties can go f*ck yourselves.

Incredible song. It's the sound track to modern warfare. You could play this song over news footage of the USA in full pelt military mode. The detailing of the US intervention in El Salvador woven into this song make it incredibly intriguing and of course Ronald Reagan and his 'face red like a rose of a thorn bush'.

To all whining about nonwhites invading this country. Maybe it is poetic justice for all the damage we've done in central/latin america. El Salvador, Guatamala, Panama, all places where we've personally invaded or worse, funded paramilitaries to murder at will. We just gave the Mexican army half a billion to continue to murder and rape citizens, and even their own municipal police. Dont believe me? Then read a fucking book u fucking idiots. You r better off dead, sorry, thats true

They didnt rip off stranglehold. If you play guitar or bass you know it is similar but in a different key, not to mention plenty of songs have that riff you are speaking of, some played the same way. Not to mention Teds a douchebag who's songs dont mean a damn thing.

U2 said this song was inspired after they visited El Salvador, during the Salvadorian Civil War,when he mentions one hundred,2 hundred,he is talking about the US supporting the Salvadorian military that massacred people, when he says the city is groaning, that is San Salvador,as it was known during the war as"The City that Crumbles"and finally when he says the women and children run into the arms of America,he's talking about the half of the Salvi population that immigrated to US because of the war
