2009 has been characterized by turbulence in three Islamic states - Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan. These theaters will also be the focus of intense conflicts in 2010.

  • "Iran always said it is developing nuclear energy!"

Please, if they were just developing nuclear energy why then have they been trying to develop this program in secret, in hidden underground bunkers, etc. They have already been trying to develop a missile to go with a warhead. All they need now is the warhead. And in that situation, who is to say this maniacal regime won't just push the launch button to strike Israel.

  • the pre-assumption that Iranians are developing a nuclear weapon is simply wrong. Iran always said it is developing nuclear energy! And NOT a single agency had so far provided any tangible proof that it is developing a bomb.

  • That was a very good and thoughtful analysis of the situation. Most likely Iran will fall without American bombing. The internal chaos is getting serious. Israel is a different matter and they are the loose cannon in the world. The Americans can always give support to the former soviet countries while not needing to send in any troops. In Kabul the Americans are letting the air out of the tire slowly. Leave the country in ruin and then leave.

  • George Friedman and Stratfor are the best. There is no other intel that comes close!
