The reason why I didn't kill off the other two immediately is so they would be there as shields for Anima's Pain, it's pretty difficult to make it through Anima in a solo challenge without leaving the other two characters alive as shields.

That being said I had a nice amount of luck this fight, you'd think my Rikku is pretty high powered for this point, which she is, however one wrong move could turn the tide against me.

If Pain hit Rikku it would be an instant reset and if I didn't have the Elemental Ward abilities the damage from those spells of Seymour's would be doubled, coupled with the fact her Magic Defence isn't that good that could spell trouble. I could have had more Proof abilities but I felt that Ward abilities were enough for this battle.

On the plus side Anima takes double damage after using Boost, not unlike Yuna's Aeons, she'll do Boost followed by Pain until her Overdrive is full, obviously you want to kill her long before that.

  • Ugh, I hated that boss Dx, but the Invasion of the Wedding cutscene is epic xD. You're owning via Solo, something I couldn't do with a full team xD

  • @PiZZaSmITTy It'll get more difficult later on I think.. xD

    Well I won't be recording the wedding scenes, I'll record Yuna's summon battle with Isaaru though I think, won't bother recording Evrae Altana as it only takes a minute if you just use the Phoenix Downs. =P

  • @FadedBlackangel Yeah I think they're only in the PAL and International version, not in the original NA release or something like that. xD

    I have the PAL version, what with living in the UK and all, at least we get something better than the other regions for once. =P

  • @TheMixedHerb Oh ok i didnt know you weren't going off her path sorry. I dont have the version with the dark aeons =_= i wish i could of battled them >< i think only the pal versions have them but im not sure of that...

  • @FadedBlackangel Well for Solo runs I don't intend to stray from the set Standard Grid path, also known as OSG (Own Sphere Grid). I'd only start going onto the other grids if I went for the Dark Aeons or something, which would time time and preparation. =P

    The Seymour fights can be pretty tough, especially on first runs as well. I came prepared. xD

    But Rikku was a good choice for a solo run because of her versatility. Her place on the sphere grid allows her to potentially learn a variety of white and black magics i think. This reminds me of my game because i just did this a few days ago. I died on this fight the first time because i missed the save sphere before the fight LOL not on purpose of course and I did next to no training so my characters are pretty average if not weaker than what they should be. LOL
