They closed the oil wells in Iraq and plan to close them in Iran to instigate WW4, the Saudis want higher prices with such a glut of supply they have encourages the US to choke off as much supply as possible for them to make as much profit as possible.

Biafra 2012! I know who I am voting for

The world is on oil til there is no more oil. It is just not possible to stop oil now. And that is just the way it is.

Seems the keystone XL pipeline from the Alberta oil sands to Texas is rufflin' some feathers. That is peanuts anyways, a much larger pipeline to China is on the books for the near future. Fittingly I guess, seeing China owns and is offering to buy Alberta based oil sand mining projects all the time. Might be China Uber Alles real soon.

more, more, more, tell it like it is!

diamond in the rough!

Right on, brother. Even Olbermann was too far left for their standards, so you could imagine how the guy who wrote "California Uber Alles" about Jerry Brown would get in the way, lol.

@bobdylan4evr As an Ontarian, I agree.

i am all for an electric motor, no question that is the way of the future.
until someone has one that travels over 100km without a recharge and can start in the cold and is affordable i think we are using gas engines for a while longer. what are we going to do when everyone has their car plugged in? arizona has blackouts from air conditioning units overwhelming the system, 4 million cars charging won't strain the system. oil sands protesters showed up in ottawa last week - IN CARS!

Vote hemp!
By the way, if MSNBC is SO "liberal" [even though they've been bought by Comcast] why don't they invite Jello Biafra onto... OH, how bout, Rachel Maddow? He isn't that radical. In a world full of Glenn Becks and Alex Joneseses, Jello is quite possibly the most rational voice out there and is much more interesting than the three I mentioned above!

Sir, with all respect, I voice a forbearance. We don't need petrol anymore. We as a global culture have the technology to make the step UP the energy ladder from all those aforementioned nasty, poisonous, carcinogenic, biosphere destroying methods.
You make valid arguments. However, they omit the option of abandoning petrol (fossil source in general for that matter) as energy sources.
Cheers!
