"Shelter is our prayer to the world, a world with great challenges and even greater dreams. Please take this prayer, feel it. Take it in, transform it into peace, now"
-RASA

Sung by Kim Waters, absolutely lovely.

Lyrics

gaurânga karunâ koro,
dîna hîna jane
mo-samo patita prabhu,
nâhi tribhuvane.

dante trina dhori gaura,
dâki he tomâr
kripâ kori eso âmâr,
hridoya mandire.

jadi doyâ nâ koribe,
patita dekhiyâ
patita pâvana nâma.
kisera lâgiyâ.

podeci bhava tuphâne,
nâhika nistâr.
s'rî carana taranî dâne,
dâse kora pâr

s'rî krishna caitanya prabhu,
dâser anudâs
prârthanâ koraye sadâ,
narottama dâs.

Heer Gauranga Your mercy,
to this destitute soul,
fallen like me o Lord,
there's no one in the three worlds.

Holding grass between my teeth Gaura,
I 'm calling out for You,
have mercy please come to my,
temple of the heart.

If You don't give Your mercy,
seeing me so fallen,
named 'Savior of the Fallen',
why are you known that way?

I've fallen in this wordly whirlpool,
there is no escape,
by Your divine feet like a boat given,
help Your servant across.

Lord Krishna Caitanya prabhu,
this servant of your servant,
will always make this prayer,
it's Narottama Dâsa.

  • The language she is singing is the historical Indo-Aryan language called Sanskrit. Wikipedia it :)

  • @raniramchandani Beautiful language, dates back to when we europeans were fighting over cattle. I speak some hindi but, unfortunately, not much :)

  • @raniramchandani

With all due respect, the language of this bhajan is bengali and this bhajan was written by

    Sri Narottama prabhu

    with love and respect

  • @mmedefarge within sweetness of God you can have God as friend, son or lover.this is sri krsna the original person. within sweetness of god, his beauty, charm and love is so intimate that his opulence is drowned in an ocean of nector which imperceivable. read jaiva dharma. God is one he manifests as the all pervading impersonal effulgence, god within the hearts of all beings and in every atom and the personilty of godhead which are all eternal. God has unlimited energies, he controls them all

  • @mmedefarge krishna is seen as swayam bhagavan god himself whom christ worshipped. when sweeteness of god is predominated he is krsna when the opulence is predominant krsna manifest as narayan. God the person has two aspects opulence and sweetness. he is also divided into the acceptor of all worship , the recepient of affection and love, and the supreme enjoyer, and secondly the abode which all love runs through, devotion to god, or the supreme personality of servitor godhead., the pure devotee

  • krishna is seen as swayam bhagavan god himself whom christ worshipped. when sweeteness of god is predominated he is krsna when the opulence is predominant krsna manifest as narayan
