Ok, made this for Thanksgiving - told the family it was a "root bake" and nothing more. As they ate it I was asked "Its great - what's in it?" Should have seen the jaws drop when I told them "rutabagas, turnips and parsnips" Yes even the children ate it! Thanks for the recipe!

I've known Chinese who have eaten cat, Koreans who have eaten dog, and Japanese who have eaten horse. So what if they do or do not eat them? Last time I visited Korea I had a chance to try dog, and guess what? I tried it. Am I ashamed that I ate it? No. Am I proud of it. Yes, because I got to try something different. Stereotypes of a country's cuisine are usually over exaggerated outside of it, but to some extent are true.
