Day 30 - Newport Beach Picnic

We spun back home to give Laura a few minutes to put a cake in the oven and for us to prepare a picnic lunch, then we were off for a tour of Newport Beach. We drove along the peninsula until we found a parking place and then took our picnic lunch to the beach.

We spent an hour or two lounging on the beach and absorbing the rays of our first ocean-side afternoon since leaving New Orleans almost a month ago. Before we looked like a trio of sun burnt British tourists we decided it was time to go home and clean up for the evening's festivities.
