I coordinate and run a metal detecting trip to England 2 times a year. 6 hunters and I spent 3 weeks wondering the English countryside looking for coins and artifacts. We made some amazing discoveries. Join us as we get a few glimpses at over 2,000 years of history.

  • Unbelievable hunt! What a great opportunity to travel abroad and find treasure. You're one hell of a narrator and your videos are always top notch. I hope Minelab and Outdoor channel team up to give you a show. AWESOME! JJ

  • @dogcaught

Thanks for the kind word JJ. Do you know anyone at either company? LOL

These hunts are so much fun. And where else can you dig 3000 years of metal targets. Bronze age, Beaker people, Celtic, Roman, saxon, Viking, and all the Kings and Queens of England.

Thanks again JJ glad you enjoyed it!

  • Congrats Ron..I can hardly believe you got (Highland-er Wendell) to convert from DFX to E-Trac...LOL You and Mark are Hammered & Silver magnets...Great Trip..Dave

  • @219erman Wendall kept wanting to go back to the Whites even after he found that big Groat. When he found that Saxon gold we banned him from the V3. LOL

  • Great video Ron!! Did they get to keep their gold coins? Also, do you straighten out the bent ones?

  • @Daddydigger1 Yes any single coin we get to keep. We do (according to the treasure and antiquity scheme) have to split with the land owner and gold coin or treasure or hoard. Payment for a single gold coin is a portion fo the value.

We have a wonderful goldsmith in colchester that works magic on bent silver and gold coins>
