  • very good conductor

  • The tempo is not too slow; it's reflective of the 19th C tempo of life.

Just enjoy the music. It's heavenly.

  • I will tomorrow, January 30th, perform this piece as a tenor, and I am very excited. Our orchestera is a fraction of the size of this one, but the sound seems to be quite sufficient to get the job done! Looking forward to it!

I would ask about the slow tempo: Fates do not occur fast, unfortunately . . . Thereafter, a tempo chosen is never too slow . . . In Brahms, a conductor has to watch firstly how the Chor breathes (divisi of voices), in order to keep sound, and so on . . .

  • it is pretty but they're taking it at a very slow tempo. The song is already pretty long and speeding it up a hair makes it more interesting

  • Just by looking at the conductor, you can tell this version is not exactly gonna be the greatest. But still, very enjoyable.

  • @TrueTenorMan me, too! this song is just unforgetable!

  • I remember singing Tenor 1 on this song in my city's symphony orchestra. Great song!

  • @rorinator101 *what you (dis)like

  • The amazing harmonic development and subsequent tension and release makes this absolutely orgasmic. It is a total joy to sing (I know, I am also a professional choral singer).
