Had the chance to test out the manufacturers claim that this cheap and cheerful 3700ER is just slightly noisier than the Honda eu20i.
Happy to say the noise level is similar, watch the short vid and make your own conclusion

  • Still working fine! Had it running last weekend again just to test it out, ran it for about 20 mins until the small amount of fuel I put in the tank was used up. The battery was flat so the electric start would not work, but it started fine after about a dozen pulls on the cord.Gave the battery a charge up over night, it took the full 5AHrs according to the charger. Electric start worked fine.

  • The 4.4kVA is a bit of a stretch I think. The biggest actual load have run is the heat gun shown in the video. The gun has a 2kW rating and the generator display matches that load rating, it seems to drive that easily. It starts and runs a full size fridge freezer no probs I'd think that 3.2kVA would be achievable - but that is an opinion!

  • Absolutely not! Its still working great, had it going on the weekend just gone.

  • has it broke yet?

  • I have this same 3700ER Gen set, and after 4 hours use in total, the electronics are faulty? No electricity output. It is still in warranty, but waiting to have it repaired. I also have a Honda EU20i, and it is much nicer, quieter and much more fuel efficient and solid quality than the 3700. Sure, the honda cost nearly 4 times the price, but it has been running nearly every day for the last 4 years!!

  • I didnt like the fact that on the Honda, one can clearly tell that it is set on "Eco" mode. When the heater was turned on, the honda really bogged down then the engine turned itself off of eco mode. Per Honda, if you know that youre going to run a device that pulls a kot of watts, youre suppossed to turn off eco mode ahead of time. Then your fenny will not bimog down initially.

  • Thanks mate i might grab one and see how i go.

  • Is the power output really what it's rated ass?,some ebay generators are over rated that what puts me off from bying one.

  • genuine question - has it broke yet?
