The Academy Award nominated actor who portrayed the Editor of 'The Daily Planet' in the 1978 Superman film passed away yesterday, after a sudden battle with an illness.
Cooper -- who was nominated for an Oscar when he was 9-years-old -- passed away yesterday at a hospital in Beverly Hills after a sudden bout with illness.
Cooper was a highly respected director in his adult years -- winning Emmy awards for his work on "M*A*S*H*" and "The White Shadow."
The actor was also well known for his time spent on the Little Rascals series and films.
Always enjooyed his performances....R.I.P. Jackie.

Philippines back then. I remember Jackie
cooper played Perry white he said.

I remembering watching the Little rascals and seeing him on it back in the 1980's when they showed the Little Rascals on TV. :)
