UC Berkeley's Frederic Wakeman, widely regarded as one of the world's finest China scholars, gave what turned out to be among his last public lecture series on the history of China in April, 2006. In Part One of this series, Wakeman examines the impact of the Mongol occupation in the 14th century. what u mean Chinese treated Mongols as slaves. Mongols were never slaves, dude! And Chine must be so lucky that Mongols didn't care about them much and therefore didn't destroy them.

It was a highly biased presentation. Prof. Frederic Wakeman described the entire situation during the Yuan Empire as disaster and called the occupier, Mongols, as Barbariens. What is the definition of barbarien anyway? People who do occupying and killing? Well then French people with Napoleon as leader and Germans with Hitler should be also called as Barbariens. Or they should be called more sedentary Barbariens.
So this Professor thinks that the Mongols were uncultured and uncivilized.
