In this video I unbox the 6GB kit of Corsair XMS3 DDR3-1600 Triple Channel Memory. This memory operates at 1600MHz and the CAS latency of this memory is 7. The timings for this memory are 7-7-7-20 which makes these DDR3 modules Corsair's lowest latency DDR3 solution. Also, these memory modules are equipped with Intel XMP memory profiles for better overclocking and stability when used on a Intel Based PC.

  • what's the difference between xms3 1600 mhz and dominator 1600 mhz for core i7 cpu, can i still play games with xms3? I won't be overclocking. I was going to get dominator but they raised the price from $150 to $250 for 6 gb kit and it is just a big time rip off by this company. the prices were supposed to go down instead of going up, now I'm gonna have to get xms3 or something else i think.

  • the dominator modules are better for overclocking. The XMS3 are more basic. Both modules can be over clocked but the dominators are made to be overclocked. If the rated speed (1600MHz) and Latency are the same then they will be comparable to each other.

  • This is a great memory kit, I just installed it 2 weeks ago and it performs great. Though I wouldn't mind getting some sticks of dominator next.

  • Yeah I would like to see how these compare to the dominator modules of the same speed.

  • this still works with AMD cpu right?

  • It should but you AMD platforms don't support Triple Channel memory so you would have to only use two sticks. Also DDR3 memory is only supported on AM3 based motherboards.

  • I had many problems using the asus corsair XMS3 p8p67 1600c9 with b3 were initially configure blue screen after the bios was able to correct this problem but freezes started to Depue using PC games, any games I overclock, activate the xmp pefil configure timings manually and the blockade persisted after reviewing several forums I saw the same problem with this type of memories using asus, I had to change memory and got a sniper-F3-12800CL9D 8GBSR2 and the problem was solved

  • is it better to get 3x 2GB or 2X 4GB

  • I have 12GBs of these at the moment :)

  • if my Mobo memory types says (DDR3 800/1066/1333/1600 (OC)/1800 (OC)/2133 (OC)) does that mean i can use this ram? the Corsair xms3 running at 1600mhz?

  • will these work with any cpu etc? im gettin the AMD phenom II CPU ?

  • Can I use these memory with Corsair Airflow 2 GT?

  • I got 2 of these New for £130 :D

  • @TheRomanCandle790 I have 8gb of this memory in my MSI 790gxg65 mobo with and AMD phenom x4 955 ocd to 3.5ghz and an aging gts250 which I also ocd.

  • lower the latency the better?
