Atmos Quake - It's like Star Evil, only slower. Ever notice that in the vertical shooters, the top or bottom edges of the screen look messy? Awful NES programming indeed.

Meong - Yes, it is possible to get to the end of the level. No, I didn't use savestates. Just watch where you step.

Space Dreams - Bad game. Good music. Well, at least it's pretty good for Action 52 music. I move through most of the first level without shooting anything so we can all hear it.

Streemerz - Cross Bionic Commando and Rainbow Islands, put in a clown/party theme, and take out all the fun. Oh, and make items harmful, too. (That's why I avoid the moneybags.)

More of the same stuff, with different crazy colorful patterns. Sometimes you do have to be careful not to climb the wrong tower of platforms, or you may reach a spot where you can do nothing but fall down off the screen.

Giving Action 52 to kids on Christmas is, without doubt, worse than socks, fruitcake or even COAL.

What's worse is that some parent who may not know much about gaming except that it's all a mess of images and sound will think the Action 52 is a great deal: 52 games in one for $200. Then the parent would be baffled, perhaps offended, when the child asks for a decent game, like a copy of "G.I. Joe" or "TMNT 3."
