how can someone looking so geeky and acting so geeky be so cool at the same time?

@scottylurch Where is the anti-squaddie sentiment? You're living in the political correctness of over the 90s and early 00s. The events of last summer and the sickness to death of many people in this country at the enforced (not natural) consideration for others over ourselves has put paid to that.

@foreverwhatever83 it is more general, its more to do with the working class being sent to the front line. Rather than high society/poiticians, sons daughers, royalty going to the front line.

@foreverwhatever83 So right on bro!

@Superabound2 Not to mention how perfectly it transitions into "Tiny Steps"

@IlRezzonico Weird, Costello's cover of "My Funny Valentine" is by far my favorite version. Its so sparse and brooding and echo-y, and his voice just sounds so powerful in it. And i love how it ends on those little playfully picked notes.
@scottylurch. you are an idiot. This song is largely about British foreign policy post WW2. I'm an Iraq vet and this song slays.

"Hong Kong is up for grabs" is the end of the 200 year lease and "London is full of Arabs" is the purchase of the West End by Saudi Arabia and the references to Palestine are just before Yom Kippur, when Britain was DIRECTED by the UN to allow the Jewish settlers to invade the British protectorate of Palestine but the Chinese line is the way of the future. They're buying the world lock, stock and barrel
