This is Dunvegan Castle - the stronghold of the Clan MacLeod! It is in the Isle of Skye (western part of the island). This is a video of what you can see from the back courtyard. Enjoy!

  • I am McLeod, I may have been born in the US, but my heart lies in Skye and with Dunvegan

Thank you for sharing this video, one day I wish to see with my own eyes. Hold Fast !

  • @SuzziCfromTulsa Thank you Suzzi! I am glad you enjoyed it! I did not stay nearly as long as I would have liked to in Scotland. Hopefully, I can go for a month next time ;)

  • I'm proud to be a Macleod :)

  • @GreyFox985 Cheers to that, eh? :)

  • Well the castle isnt a ruin, the chief of the MacLeods still lives there. I would like to visit this place someday considering I am a McLeod...

  • @Blooreign I wish I had more time to see the surrounding gardens that are all around the castle. Next trip over I will :)

  • @Avirexwun You are quite welcome :)

  • As a McLeod this is an awesome thing to see, thank you for sharing.

  • I am not sure about everywhere in Scotland. This was my first time there. I walked pretty much on all the places I went. I was at the Quiraing, the ruins at Duntulum, and some small places. So true, there are sheep everywhere. I did not wear my best shoes. No one told me I couldn't go where I was walking, but I do not know about other places.

  • I have heard alot of sheep farms are everywhere in the highlands. So does that mean the beauty of the highlands and being able to explore ruins, etc is all closed off for some farmer and his sheep on private property? Getting to explore highlands and ruins is undoable because some sheep gotta graze?
