NWOBHM 4 Life !

@Arvarker Yeah, I made a mistake, sorry. I meant Vic Wright!

@Weaponx58 What about bands Cloven Hoof, Satan or Atomkraft? All three bands formed in 1979, yet they didn't put anything out until 1981/1982. NWOBHM isn't simply just about being "new"; it started as a very important movement to bring back interest in the metal world when older bands were in decline thanks to punk rock suddenly rising in the UK. The scene was still ongoing by the early '80s. Regardless, I just hope you don't consider Judas Priest or Motorhead to be NWOBHM bands. :P

@thehuntersmetal No I wouldn't consider them NWOBHM. They were after the fact and therefore not part of the movement...New Wave means just that. By 1982/3 it was no longer new:)
I have the Night of the Blade on cassette and CD, much love for the band

Nah he's nearly right. Al Marsh and Ray Dismore (original vocalist and guitarist) were in a band called Genghis Khan in the 70's. They hooked up with Andy B and members of White Diamond and called themselves Killer, released some demos then changed their name to Genghis Khan - probem was that Als old band were still going so they had to change the name again, this time to Tokyo Blade. Shogun was Al's band after he was outed from the band, and featured 3 members of Blade at one point or another.
