Stealh Quake is an in-progress mod I'm designing for approximately a week then releasing.

The basic concept is you sneak around the Quake world armed with only your axe, a few rocks, and your ability to whistle and maybe find a pistol if you're lucky.

You can sneak past enemies either by distracting them with rocks, or calling them to your location via whistling; if you wish you can axe murder them from behind.

It's built for cooperative mainly, and you get 10 lives to complete a level.

  • hmmmm

    i have't that darknes

  • Lol, yeah those faces are really creepy =D

  • Interesting....

  • Cool, I'll check it out.

  • It wasn't a star, it's a dead bride; all images / increased breathing / swaying screen / heart beat / chatting teeth are done code wise using a system I developed that increases in volume the more afraid you are. Watch the v1.2 video that's done a tad better since this beta.

  • What was that weird star thing popping up around the 3:30 mark -the scene with the dog. Something cryptic or subliminal you wanted to fit into the mod? Also, will there be a hacking system, deployable turrets to distract guards, or a flashlight?

  • Yep, and thanks. They're done a lot better in the official release; this video is from an earlier beta.

  • No other features are planned, I'm only doing bug fixes as of now unless you have any suggestions?

  • thanks for that insight into the making of your mod :) i would have never thought that you have never played thief before o.o i haven't played call of cthulhu yet, but i will certainly look into it to get to know the roots of this cool mod. also, 1 week of development is pretty quick, especially for what you achieved. i guess quake's c-like scripting language helps a lot to create powerful mods like yours. you implied that this mod is still wip. do you have any other features planned?

  • Thanks again, I actually haven't played Thief ever although I've been told to many times. This took a week to make, most of the influence for this came from Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, a bit of Splinter Cell and Metal Gear Solid.

I got the idea when I decided Quake needs a proper stealth mod since one hasn't been created yet for some reason and decided a horror theme behind it would be in the best interest since Quake has Lovecraft tones to it. Hope that helps! :)
