Joba Chamberlain Arrest Video Released

The Nebraska State Patrol released cruiser camera video of the arrest of New York Yankees pitcher Joba Chamberlain for DUI and having an open container in the car.

The video shows Trooper Michael Grummert pulling over Chamberlain's vehicle near Highway 77 and Old Cheney Road. Grummert made the stop shortly after 1:00 a.m. on October 18.

The video includes Trooper Grummert questioning Chambe More..rlain. It shows Trooper Grummert noticing a bottle of liquor in the car, which Chamberlain turned over to the trooper.

Chamberlain is then seen taking a field sobriety test.

Authorities said his blood-alcohol content level was point 134 at the time of the arrest. The legal limit in Nebraska is point 08.

Chamberlain pleaded guilty to Driving Under the Influence on April 2.

A Lancaster County Judge sentenced him to 9 months probation and imposed a 400-dollar fine.

Chamberlain's drivers license is also suspended for 60 days and he will have to attend alcohol education classes.

Chamberlain grew up in Lincoln, and lives there during the off-season. He pitched for the University of Nebraska before being drafted by the Yankees

@holiday311 not surprising. i was pulled over once. cops thought i was drunk. they searched my car w/o permission..ended up blowing 0.00..cops planted drugs on my passenger side seat to justify the search...need to watch out for scumbags like this. gives good cops a bad name.

I got pulled over by this same douche. His feet are smaller than my hands I wonder what that means lol. He claimed I didn't signal my lane change, which I have my own video proof to say otherwise, and later at my ALR hearing that I was weaving in my own lane. He made shit up to meet his standard of issuing the most DUI's in the state of Nebraska. He does the no stop trick. He has you do the same sobriety test bs until the most sober of sober people would give up. Pure Douche Bag. F U Grummert!

eh he looked a little shaky with the heel to toe. and even though he might've looked like he passed the test, you gotta remember that he had an open container of alcohol in the car. He handled it well though. I'm a yankees fan and I like Joba. Can't say I've never driven a little drunk before (as most of us probably have). Everyone makes mistakes, its a good thing he didn't get in an accident. All in all he handled it well, and at least he probably won't do it again.
