Colt McCoy and Garrett Gilbert walk into the Rose Bowl Jan. 7, 2010 with offensive coordinator Greg Davis. Little did Colt McCoy and Garrett Gilbert know the significance if this entrance into the Rose Bowl with McCoy leading Gilbert with Davis by their side. McCoy was injured on the Longhorns first drive. Gilbert entered the game and struggled in the first half. Gilbert, with McCoy's support rallied the Longhorns to within 3 points late in the game. Late turnovers allowed Alabama to score twice and Texas lost 37-21, but the Longhorns never gave up. The whole team showed passion, strength, tradition and honor but above all they showed their heart.
