I did a little research on GOOFUS. Seems to have been quite the rage in the early 30s. There was a "Goofus Bird" the official insignia of GOOFUS CLUBS OF AMERICA. This was on some sheet music to the GOOFUS FOX TROT. What can I say? We all go GOOFUS!
