  • I have the same mobo and Phenom II x4 B55 @3.2ghz, I used iAtkos v7 10.5.7, 9800GT gpu

My HD is in sata slot 1 and the DVD drive in slot 2. If your Hd is in slot 5 or 6 will not work.

I only use busratio=16 as flag

  • i cant eaither any body figure it out yet

  • Yeah, the iAtkos v7 works pretty much flawlessly. I'm trying to get a snow leopard install going on here so I can use my gts 450 though...

  • @AndyTheSmartGuy at this point i'm loving you... but yet i have to install. It got installer working though

  • @AndyTheSmartGuy correction I have the same cpu but an asus m4a785-m mobo

  • I have the same cpu bus an asus m4a785-m mobo And i got it working type this cpus=1 busratio=14 -v -s

then at the prompt type exit the install will begin. once ur done restart hit f8 agian and type cpus=1 busratio=14 -v -f and complete setup or cpus=1 busratio=14 -v -s then at prompt exit then complete setup. if you get lost inbox me and i will be happy to help

  • did you get it working? I have the same mobo

  • First thing first: The install DVD has to be patched with an AMD-hacked kernel. Second, for AMD CPUs, these are the recommended settings (which usually don't work anyways). You have to do a lot of work to get AMD working.

    cpus=1 busratio=20 -v -x arch=i386

Those settings, very commonly, will help you boot into an AMD system. Currently I'm looking for an old torrent I had for a crazy installer that booted without -any- of the boot commands. Worked fine too, except for GPU.

  • I have the same problem... I also tried used only cpus=1 but not, it's not workin at all.

    my specs.

    MSI MOBO

    Nvidia 7300 256mb

    5gb

    sata not ide shit

Actually I install 10.5.8, but change my Atlhon 5200+ and i can't boot up

i can't install windows, xp 7 vista. Just Linux...
