A b-side to the "Tangerine" single, this song was deservedly put on their b-sides compilation "Picture of perfect youth" and it's to me the 2nd best song on the compilation, with the best being Undvided, both on CD 2 at the end of the playlist (TV me was #16 and Undivided #18 with Wishing for the sun in between)

Again one of their greatest songs, it's known to have been in the band repertory from the very beginning, so it's likely to have been written around 1993-4 and published in 1997. Amazing distorted vocals from Grant here. Curiously this is Grant's least fave Feeder song, he also claimed that he was ashamed of it, no one knows why cause it's so damn good!!

  • I could really see this being a succesful song i dont see why they didnt put more focus on it. They should have put it on Polythene for sure. I cant belive i aint ever heard it before thank you so much man!!!!

  • This song is great, I find it strange that Grant never took to it. Unfortunately I never owned a copy at the time as I bought the first release of the single (the one with Rhubarb). I'm always proud to say that was the first single I ever bought! :D

Wishing for the Sun is lovely too - although 'lying on a bed, flying in my head' has to be a lyrical low for Grant if I'm honest :P

Polythene and Swim era Feeder - the greatest 3 years of my life :D
