My parents bought me the original sega genesis when i was just a kid. I spent the 90s playing sonic 1 and 2. The bad guys name was always "Dr. Robotnik". He changed things into robots and built robots. His name is not "Eggman" and its insulting when I hear him called that. He was quite a foe in his day.
