Are the pads on the microKONTROL as good/responsive as on the padkontrol?

Traktor (Scratch) Pro combined with midi drumpads makes just the revolution djs were waiting since the creation of the MPC, and therefore, since Battery 1,2 & 3.

i would recommend getting FL Studio.
I have it and its extremely useful and easy to use, especially with the microkontrol :)

can you use the microkontrol without a pc? for instance just upload a patch into one of its preset then use it as a stand alone keyboard?

How long can the samples/drums (literally whatever you program in to the mpc part) be? Instead of having just bass notes could you have full on samples? Also, does it divide it up for you like a proper mpc into 4/4 segments? Sorry for all the questions but I'm really close to buying one!!

hey sorry for the long time to reply, hope you took the plunge and went for one though :)
they can be as long as the song, it just has like 4 players on traktor with the same song loaded in, and then set at a different part of the track on each 4. So the buttons are just to start that track playing from the part you chose for it. If you kept them all held down they would play the song to the end :)

not at all. the video was taken on my phone and youtube always puts a slight audio delay on videos so it looks like there is a large amount of latency. I get about 5ms latency with my soundcard (line 6 toneport gx) which sounds instant. the velocity on the pads themselves can be modified depending on whether you like to hit them hard or soft. obviously for drums its not as good as an electric kit, but it does the job fine and is great for sequencing :)
