originally intended to put out a tut today but decided i should plan it better so enjoy ze video and keep an eye out for the tutorial series ive been planning on doing. the first tutorial im going to be doing is on adding point isolations to the various cap patterns and if we have time i may go over how to do these same moves in the horizontal plane or do that as a seperate video. the ultimate goal of this series of tutorials is to teach how to do 3d plane bends through the elements inside of a cap pattern. then i got a whole deal of others i intend to post but i think the point iso/cap video would be a good place to start.

happy spinning, Delirium

  • @ ian i use chains but i prefer the play you get from worn in sock poi but i do use them just to switch it up or in the weeks before a fire performance. ive been really hoping i could make it to fire drums but its looking more and more likely that i wont be able to afford it. but i might just end up applying for need based tickets and hitchhiking out as long as i can get back here in time for wildfire. but for now im just keeping my fingers crossed

response continued in next 2 posts

  • the move schmarzech JoffJk and sirspinalot420 i think are referencing are base on the same move but just spliced up a bit. the move was the product of my explorations on the different varients on the horizontal iso extension hybrid weave. i found that because of the difficulty involved in doing long arm in floor plane that the cleanest way to extend it would be through using the ceiling plane. so by make the hand that was isolated do a sort of inversion into the negative space of my arms

  • allowing you to continue the hybrid almost indefinitely( this requires you to spin). the only catch is that because the poi is isolating on the horizontal plane it will tend to stall so you have to compensate and swing it out using the motion of your body. 1:25 is a good example of it done in both directions in a stall switch pattern. this is a relatively new move but im also kinda doing them sloppy in the vid and i hope to put up a better example. thanks for commenting

  • thanks for all the positive feedback! if anybody sees any particular move or concept they want me to do a tut on just give me a description of the move and a time stamp and you'll help me out allot.
